Former Sands Capital portfolio manager retains Havener Capital Partners
Alexandria, VA – (March 10, 2020) – Evolutionary Tree Capital Management (“Evolutionary Tree”) and third party marketing firm Havener Capital Partners (“Havener”) are proud to announce a sales and marketing partnership.
Evolutionary Tree was founded in 2017 by Tom Ricketts, CFA. Prior to starting his new firm, Ricketts spent 20+ years at Sands Capital Management, the $40B+ pioneer in concentrated growth investing. During his tenure at Sands, Ricketts served as Senior Co-Portfolio Manager of the $20B U.S. Large Cap Growth Strategy (2008-2015). The founding employees at Evolutionary Tree include two other former Sands Capital employees.
The philosophy of Evolutionary Tree, named in a nod to the father of evolution, Charles Darwin, is that the development of innovation and its resultant pattern of evolutionary change is the primary engine of growth for companies, industries, and the economy. Ricketts and the team seek to harness these growth opportunities in concentrated equity portfolios.
On the marketing front, Havener Capital Partners is assisting Evolutionary Tree with creating an expanded suite of due diligence materials as well as leading their digital marketing campaign. This includes the publishing of content and managing social media. The sales team at Havener will be focused on connecting Evolutionary Tree with RIA and family office investors.
