Traditional private venture capital wasn’t built for advisors. It was built for insiders. Deal flow is driven by personal relationships, bias toward select tech hubs, and subjective judgment. That approach doesn’t just limit access to the asset class—it concentrates risk. While attention stays fixed on a narrow slice of the private venture capital market, nearly two-thirds of North American venture activity unfolds in cities most VCs never meaningfully explore.
Connetic Ventures exists to solve that problem.
At the core of the firm is a proprietary AI research platform designed to evaluate venture opportunities across the U.S., not just the usual destinations. That platform is powered by Wendal®, Connetic’s digital analyst, which systematically evaluates more than 20,000 startups annually across 100+ overlooked U.S. tech markets. The result? The Connetic Venture Capital Access Fund, a portfolio of companies diversified across sectors, stages, geographies, and vintages.
For advisors, structure matters as much as strategy.
The Connetic Venture Capital Access Fund is an SEC registered, electronically traded interval fund built specifically to work inside advisory practices. It replaces K-1s with a 1099, lowers investment minimums, and removes the operational friction that has historically kept venture capital out of model portfolios. Advisors can allocate private venture exposure across their entire book of business in days without administrative burden.
This advisor-first design was conceived by Connetic Ventures’ founder, Brad Zapp, who understands the challenges of private venture capital firsthand. Before founding Connetic, Brad was the managing partner of an independent RIA. When traditional portfolio diversification tools failed him and his clients during the 2007–2008 market meltdown, he saw how few viable alternatives existed for advisors trying to serve all of their clients—not just a select few.
Today, Connetic doesn’t just offer a broader subset of investors a seat at the table. It offers a seat at a better table — one where world-class founders are found through merit, and clients finally get to own a piece of the future.
At Havener Capital, we partner with boutique firms that rethink entrenched models and build solutions around real-world constraints. We’re excited to support Connetic Ventures in bringing a disciplined, scalable approach to private venture capital.
