Leading Langdon is Greg Dean, CFA, a lifelong investor whose approach is defined by going where others don't. Early in his career, while his peers at Fidelity gravitated toward Fortune 500 giants, Greg was drawn to small, under-the-radar companies building something from scratch. His success in finding hidden value caught the attention of CI Global Asset Management, which recruited him to develop boutique-like specialization around the overlooked companies he believed in.
A decade later, Greg decided he didn’t just want to back entrepreneurs, he wanted to operate like one. So in 2022, he founded Langdon Equity Partners, serving RIAs, family offices, consultants, investment advisors, and financial advisers in Canada, where Langdon is headquartered, as well as in Australia, the U.K., Europe, and the U.S.
Rather than surface-level analysis across hundreds of holdings, Greg and his team conduct in-depth research to build concentrated portfolios designed for meaningful outperformance and long-term compounding. They invest in global small-cap companies that are typically owner-operated and off-index. They understand that entrepreneurs think differently about capital, growth, and risk when their wealth and reputation are at stake because they are entrepreneurs.
